Event Details:

Medea (2022) by Dimitri Athanitis is a 21st century cinematic adaptation of Euripides’ tragic play. Medea and Jason with their two children are living as refugees in Corinth. Jason abandons Medea to marry king Kreon’s daughter…and the rest is mythology. Following the film screening there will be a discussion and Q&A led by Athena Gounis, NSU Associate Lecturer with the Halmos College of Arts & Sciences.

The film will be shown and discussed through an interdisciplinary lens such as it relates to the following disciplines: languages, literature, cinema, and theater.
