The South Florida Greek Film Festival has been recognized by the City of Fort Lauderdale, which officially proclaimed October 11–19, 2025 as South Florida Greek Film Festival Week. This recognition reflects the festival’s growing role in enriching the region’s cultural landscape and fostering dialogue through cinema.

- Films about Greece and Cyprus. Greek and Cypriot productions and co-productions.
- Films in languages other than English must have English subtitles.
- Films in the Greek language are given preference in the selection.
- Films open on YouTube and/or Vimeo will not be considered.
